Hi everyone,

I am Inaobi Mutum from the north eastern region of India bordering Myanmar. I am looking for a sustainable, cost effective Aquaponics system which can produce good quantity of fish and vegetables and make a living for me and other associates. I am ready to learn about the system if anybody give me a chance. Hope, someone will guide me soon.

Thanks.

Inaobi Mutum

Welcome Inaobi... sustainable, cost effective... for xx number of people....

Humm .. more definition please.... how many people do you wish to feed... and what sort of quantities are involved.

Also what sort of plants and fish are you thinking of?

All these factors will determine both initail design, size and continuity of supply.... hence sustainability and cost effectiveness..

Welcome Inaobi

as well as what rupert asked for can you give us an idea of your weather over a whole year too that would help in choosing the right fish and plants for your system to make sure you dont have to heat or cool your system as this dramatically increases your running costs over a whole year

it would also give us a better idea if you need to have shade cloth and /or a greenhouse for winter to keep your system warmer than freezing or being burnt by the sun

and of course a photo or two of where you would like to put your system would be great too

hope to hear from you soon
