"Aquaponics Annonomous" Hi I'm Dicko and I'm into aquaponics! I've been lurking around this site for well over 2 years. For what seems like forever I have been putting aside bits and pieces, A Bathtub here, A Wine Vat (Read: Fishtank) there, Pipes, Pumps, A ute load of scoria..... You know the senario. It all starts as harmless fun, and then you can't stop... First there's the experimenting, then you need more! I made what is probably the smallest AP system in the world (aprox. 10 litres, incl. grow bed). (Will Post Pics when I know how to) I tried to cover it up from the wife saying that it was just a fountain with flowers..... Then came the goldfish. Soon the flowers were replaced with lettuces... Not just the round ones,.. There was rocket and even the occasional Cos. When I got the "Produce" in a sandwich at work one day, I knew she was on to me!!! My addiction came to a head the other day when I discovered that my preachings to family and friends about how good it was actually got someone else addicted to "Aquaponics"... (You know who you are, Shhh! Let them work it out, They love that sort of stuff!) I know now that I will never really get over this addiction, I just hope that you, my new friends, help me live with it Thanks in advance Dicko |

Welcome **I BEG YOUR PARDON** to the forum (best AP forum in the world). Don't worry about the change of words - I think they had to do otherwise somebody could get sued! Had the same problem with my DW - just like Kuda .... e.g. "That thing out the back there .... is a waste of time, BUT you can have it because I love you. My DW opinion changed after our last AP meeting - - now it is: "When is it going to be ready?? Heka |

Welded up the supporting frame for the GB's today, Two bathtubs end to end, so we're one step closer! Ive got 2 Baths, just over 1000 litres of fish tank, A ute load of gravel, A pump, a sump, Lots of pipe, lots of enthusiasm, and a list of jobs the wife wants done first. I've gotten this far, Let's not trip over on the home straight!
