First Iv got to give you guys props for the great forum. Iv found more info with in the posts then anywhere else so far. Iv decided after much thought to start out with a grow bed under a sky light on a counter in my house. The walls of the skylight are going to be lined with silver backing to reflect more light to the gb during more of the day. I'll also be installing a grow light to aid in growth during the winter. I have a 50 gallon fish tank that's well established that will be under one end of the gb so it can be drained directly into the tank. A pump on a timer will fill the grow bed. I'm going to have the end of the gb that is over the tank about an inch lower then the far end to aid in draining. I don't know exactly what I'm going to use as the medium but it will probably be gravel. So that is what I'm working on so far but I'm already dreaming of all the unused space in my backyard and the bounty that could be grown. |
