Post subject:  Hi everyone!

Thought I'd say hi and introduce myself.

Stumbled onto the idea of AP a few weeks ago, and am keen to get a system up and running. I'll probably start small until I get my knowledge/skills/confidence up, possibly utilising the old bath tub already in my back yard. Might throw some redclaw in there to begin with. Hopefully this will replace or complement my existing conventional vege garden.

I am using yabbies at the moment and I think the biggest problem is going to the amount of waste that they can produce. I will be adding fish to my system and only having a small protion dedicated to the yabbies. I would suggest starting with fish and then adding the Red Claw in a seperate tank.

Gotta love Yabbys` (I have redclaw :) )
Welcome and yes, start small and experiment - its fun and a great way to learn!
Each species has its pros and cons - but you will find that out for yourself soon enough!
Looking forward to hearing how your system shapes up as I started with bathtubs... now I have 6 1000l IBC's stocked with a bit of a mix of goodies
