Hi all
Just a quick intro and :occasion5:
My name is Leon, I joined in 2006 and have been lurking on and off ever since.
I planted my first dirt garden this year. It is in the wrong spot for winter sun and is very slow growing.
I have a spot in the backyard earmarked for an AP garden.
My aim is to have an aesthetic system with low power usage.
I plan to utilize my concreting skills and build a conc fish tank with grow beds above.
I have been given the go ahead by the 'Minister of Home Affairs' as soon as the chook pen is built.
Thanks for all he info from the forum so far and in the future.

There might be lots of ministers, but trust me, only Treasury matters.

I actually got the go ahead on the proviso that I built a Chook pen, got the frame up and wire is still lying on the very un mowed back lawn, but the thought is there  I will finish it promise
But gooday Leon looking forward to some photo's, the way wind is today I might end up with your chooks here

Cheers Guys. A couple of pics.

North is to the left of pic.
The area from the shed this way about 5-6 metres and about 3m off the back fence is where i would like to set up. It gets good sun all winter. Shade may be required for summer.
The chooks are going in the space between shed and fence.

The vegies have been in about 10 weeks. A couple of weeks after planting the house shadow crept in. The shadow has just started receding and should have sun again in a month or so.

Chooks between shed and fence???
Most councils insist on any chook house being 7metres away from dwellings.....looks a bit close to the neighbours house.
I'm building mine within 1 metre of the neighbours "pool room"(5m X 10m) ,,,yes they got this granny-flat passed by council because NO ONE will live in it,,,it's just a POOL ROOM,.....,,ROFLMAO.
