Hi,

I am living in suburban Townsville. Not bad actually .

I am very interested in permaculture and associated stuff and now I have "discoverd this".

My question is can any one point me to a thread that can tell me some equipment I will need to set up a system.

I am wanting to have a system that can incorperate two or three GB's and give us one to two dinner sized fish a week .

Cheers,

Spanner.

Go to here - http://backyardaquaponics.com/ and read a bit.

Your order of one or two dinner sized fish a week is a tall one for beginning. There are a lot of parameters and such you have not allowed us privilege to.

No reason why a 2 or 3 gb system can't provide one or 2 fish a week once it is set up. Might be time for a group purchase of growbeds in queensland to save on freight.
good luck with it all.

cheers, Jamie.

I will read the post carefully.

I am keen to replace our protein intake from lamb and beef to fish in about 75% of our protien meals. Sorry veggetarians but I do like my meat and fish.

I am not expecting imediate result ar anything ludicrus like that and I am also expecting to "fall of the bike" as well a few times.

I am not sure what other things you might be talking about Jaymie but I am very keen to come out in a few weeks.

cheers all.

Spanner.

Whoops ..... I said Jaymie when I ment Wdyasq. I am not sure what the parameters are you are refering to.... unless you mean size of system and positioning and fish breeds etc.
