| Post subject: | From scrapper to Recycler to Aquaponics |
I used to be content being a simple consumer however during a dark part of my early PTSD past I found scrapping electronics and basically anything with a metal content to pass the time, make a dollar for coffee and start on that "save the world less to landfill" ideology. This of course led to me expanding into taking recycling from local cafes etc. (no garbage/recycling collection where i am) where I could get some things recycled and others repurposed. Although this ultimately only drove me further towards wanting a self sufficient and sustainable lifestyle hence turning towards aquaponics with a twist. My specific twist is not just using recycled items where possible to save on cost but trying to use as much recycled product as possible as a "lets see how much recyclable stuff I can use in the project". So now I am mostly through my "design" phase of my shipping container aquaponic setup and I have about another two months to get the building and testing finished before I can get hold of some murray cod to kick things off for real. |
