I just wanted to let the many contributors to this site know that I greatly appreciate the help and guidance you provided to everyone who came before me... I took in as much as I possibly could and built my own system. It is up and running for almost a month now and I will post details in the member systems area. My only experience with lots of water is because of my love of the ocean, I used to be a reef aquarium keeper big time about 15 years ago. I had over 750 gallons of salt water in my living room... I was living in Alaska, a disaster broke my heart and the only way I got over it was by moving here to the Philippines with my family. I am a bit of a homestead type farmer now, but I am really enjoying this Aquaponics thing. I am expecting the occasional typhoon will set me back now and again but I am sure things will recover unlike when I was a reefkeeper. Well, take care everyone and I'll post my system soon... I did a few things that might interest some, I didn't follow the typical Bell siphon design and I am surprised how well it works. Maybe I'll post that first. Your fellow Aquaponics guy... is there an official term we call ourselves??? Cya Rob |
