Hello all, Wanted to come in to say hello. This site is a wealth of knowledge and has been instrumental in guiding my decisions as I get ready to build my first aquaponics system! Thanks for being such a cool, helpful community. For my first system, I had been wanting to follow Travis Hughey's design (using a toilet flapper really appeals to the Rube Goldberg fan in me) but discovered that my space was too limited. So, I'm going to be doing a chop and flip style build with three 55gal drums standing upright. Those, indoors, under grow lights should still supply a fine square footage of grow space to supplement my grocery bills. Just got the paycheck that put my AP budget in the right spot, time to get to the fun part, building! |
