Hello everyone, my name is Giel, new to aquaponics. I am starting up an IBC system in a greenhouse in the Netherlands.
Traffic on euro-forums is very low! So I hope some of my questions will be answered here.
Please forgive me if I think in litres instead of gallons.....

see you on the forum!

Welcome Giel, I'm sure somebody will answer your questions on this forum, and don't worry about using litres on here, gallons are only used by those guys on the other side of the pond and they still drive on the wrong side of the road :laughing3:

Hello Giel, welcome to the forum. Lots of help available on here from loads of experienced aquaponicers.

I bought my first house in Brabant 'lage zwalue' near Breda but have since sold it and now live in France. I learned to speak Dutch to a reasonable level but sadly I don't get chance to use it very much now. When I do try and speak it I always accidentally mix French words in. It's usually words that are the same in English and Dutch and my brain just finds the first translated word that's not English ha ha. It comes back pretty quick once I get into it.

When I lived there I had an aquarium, I used to change some of the water every week and throw the old water on the garden. I noticed how all the plants grew much better in that patch of garden. Years and years later I found out about aquaponics. I knew there was something in it because of my experience in Holland and so here I am.....

Good luck building your system.
