Should be worth the wait ;)

are you a complete Fish newbie or is AP the final step in the journey of fish, ponds and gardens for you?

I am a total newbie, never even raised fish. My father had many tanks when I was young. I have a general idea of how the system works but never did it myself.

I am looking forward to at least learning about it.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Which style of system do you think you'll attempt?

Welcome Rosewood!

I hadn't kept fish at all until a year and a half ago, there's a handful of basic info to learn but in general AP is simple in concept. One of the reasons it is so interesting I think is because there are many facets of the system you can research. Post questions and the fine BYAP forum members will answer!

Welcome here
I find AP is the simplest way to produce plants and fish, much easier than any other way.
I wish you the best AP journey and beware the depth of what you're going into has no limits but makes life much more interesting

Hi Rosewood and welcome!!

You're always welcome to come visit and see a small operational system. Are you in north Jersey or south Jersey? I'm maybe 30 minutes from the Delmembr Bridge.

Dinner tonight was the last of the tilapia for a while, but the next batch is growing well.

Terribly sorry, no pics. Children gobbled it down too fast. 8 nice fillets with lemon juice and toasted almond slivers. It will be a while before the next tilapia dinner, too. All the big'uns have been harvested. Next batch needs at least a few months.

Mine just keep getting bigger, can't stand to eat Herb, Jack, Wiggles, Streak, Torpedo......

Welcome to the madness Rosewood. One caution. If you like to eat fish, don't name them!
