you're 90% there if you know about keeping healthy aquariums and all about the nitrogen cycle. There do seem to be certian aquarium "truths" that go out the window with AP, cant remember them now, but i'll be sure to set you straight if they come up |

Now all I have to do is figure out what junk goes where to build this mess Probably going to build GB's and Main Tank out of plywood and epoxy. I was thinking a 4'X4'X3' main tank and at least 2- 4'x8'x1' Grow Beds. Robert |

I have plywood and liner for my Growbeds. I think that would be better than epoxy in the long run. Just let your liner flop over the edges to protect from water. I have been very happy with wood for a gb material so far. |

I try to make it a point to be part of some type of madness at any given time in my life Lets see first raising and breeding rottweilers, labs and cheasapeke bay retrievers.... hmmm then large freshwater aquarium systems, then large saltwater systems, then kids(ooops gotta cut back on the pets and aquariums when the toddlers pull the dogs ears and bang on the glass) Next came chickens and other fowl, goats and now Aquaponics' plus all my regular hobbies Damn no wonder there is never enough time in a day. I'll see which is cheaper and go with that I guess. I may also use one of the liquid bed liners that are found in large box stores or automotive stores as I have seen them sell for cheap on clearance. dthawk do you have any pictures of your system to look at? Robert |
