Hello All, I am Ryan from the southern part of Arizona (US). I am new to AP, and looking forward to setting up a small indoor system with one of my fresh water fish tanks. I will be using my 125g cichlid tank to start. I am open to all advice, recommendations, suggestions, and do's and don't s. This first system will be small with a couple 24 inch grow beds and some grow lamps. Once I prove this to my wife, she will be on board for me to build my large system outside (southern side of me house). Well, I look forward to reading about what everyone is doing, and how your systems work. I do have one question. Has anyone tried to grow peanuts in an AP system? If so, how? Thanks Ryan |

Hi Ryan, just a quick hello and welcome. I can't really help with your questions but wondered if peanuts like dry or moist soil? Judging by the fact your thinking of trying them in AP I imagine they like it moist in which case maybe a wicking bed with AP water feed could be a great solution. It might also explain why I didn't manage to grow more than about 4 peanuts in my greenhouse a few summers ago before discovering AP! Search on here or YouTube for wicking beds. |
