Hi everyone

Newbie here in Monterey, California. I just adopted an IBC system with 27 bluegill and a Hydroton grow bed. I'm excited to learn more and to grow vegetables. Harvesting fish would be a bonus. For the international folks, the weather here is temperate with winters rarely getting below 5*C and highs in September/October around 32*C (also rare). I live along the coast so overcast skies is the norm. The main agricultural crops in the area are lettuces and berries. Organic baby lettuces are big business here. The nearby Salinas Valley bills itself as "the salad bowl of the world". I'd like to grow collard greens and other leafy greens. I'm usually not around for the summer and our summers are notoriously cool/cloudy so I don't think I'll even bother with fruiting crops. Maybe a chili pepper plant. I look forward to learn from everyone and would especially like to get in touch with other Californians or anyone raising bluegill. Happy gardens!
