Dear All,
My name is Auro Shashwat and I'm from South India. I recently stumbled upon aquaponics and have been eager to learn more about it ever since. Now, I'm seriously considering starting a small scale aquaponics farm.
Although, I'm a graduate of Ecology and an avid aquarist for over a decade, aquaponics seems very daunting to me. In this regard, I humbly request you all to help make this learning process easier for me.

Welcome to the forum :wave:

One good place to start is with the IBC of Aquaponics (which is from BYAP and is free) - http://ibcofaquaponics.com/

The FAO also has a good publication that's available for free download, I think it's called Small Scale Aquaponics.

Finally this forum has a lot of information and help.

A basic system with a fish tank and media bed is probably the easiest way to get started and really isn't that tough to run. It's a lot like running an aquarium but the grow beds are your filter and they just happen to have plants in them. From there you can start learning about plant growing and get into other options.
