:wave1: Hey everyone.
I have had single barrel system for about 6 years. I have since moved to a new place.
I have recently acquired 3 IBC Totes and 6, 55 gallon barrels.
The fish get to go in the IBCs, and I will have 12 grow beds.

I have to build a rack for the GBs and somehow find a way to figure out the plumbing.

I have a powered shed. And there are plans to build a lean-to greenhouse off the back to house the fishtanks.

Just looking for ideas and layouts.

Cheers Ya'll!

Here are the updates to the system. Sorry it is so pic heavy.

These are the three IBC Totes.

I have cut 4 of the 6 round drums. I have decided to reuse my old single barrel system in this one. The lone blue barrel in the background use to be the fish tank. It will now be the swirl filter and will be placed upon a low table.

Welcome to the forum  (if I missed saying it earlier).

You're in the US so the sunlight will be from the south, can you indicate which way that is in your setup?

Hey thanks! The barrels are roughly in an East West line.

:? - I think what you're trying to tell me is that the sun is coming from the side of the fence with your barrels, not the back side away from the barrels :dontknow:

The sun rides the fence line. The barrels get sun pretty much all day.

You and my wife must have gone to the same school. If I asked her which way is South she wouldn't tell me either  . Right now the sun is riding the fence but as it gets later in the year it will be further south and if your setup is on the wrong side of the fence it will not be getting nearly as much sunshine because it's right up next to the fence.

Bwahahaha!

Actually, I am going to build a table for the barrels and bring them out from the fence for maintenance purposes (weedeating, fencework).

The barrels line up along the direction above.

Welcome.

Have you got any ideas with how you will plumb the system?

I personally wouldn't bother with a swirl filter unless you are considering high stock densities but if you do want pre-filtering a RFF would be better option. Things to consider if using a pre-filtering barrel is to have large enough plumbing - mainly because you need the water to carry over such a large distance for all the half barrel media beds you are using. A common large drain would be best for the drain side of the beds.
