Hi, I have been lurking for weeks gaining lots of great information. I have a new greenhouse setup growing tilapia and lettuce for a start. Learning tons of knowledge as I am trying to stay off-grid with solar powered pumps. This has been lots of fun learning about fish, gardening, solar power, thermal storage, bacteria and water quality. Thanks for all of your posts. I am sure I will have questions that I couldn't find answers to. But for now, I can't think of any at the moment. |

Pic of my greenhouse, and grow beds, and fish just getting them both going. I am now in the last stages of cycling and nitrites are starting to drop. My fish load is way too heavy and I am trying to get veggies going as fast as I can. They are housed in a 8x8x9 greenhouse with a 100w solar panel / deep cycle battery running the water and air pump. https://get.google.com/albumarchive/114 ... 6470620482 https://get.google.com/albumarchive/114 ... 8551006066 https://get.google.com/albumarchive/114 ... 9093959122 |

I've edited the original post and removed the [ img ] tags so the links can now be seen. It would be nice if the images got uploaded to the forum and displayed in the post. Follow the link scotty supplied for directions. |

Thanks, I'll check out the fans, I have been propping open a door during the day and closing it up at night but it does get steamy in there. I can see where a fan could help a lot. I need to find a low wattage fan so I can stay on the battery but I'm sure there out there. |

Probably would only need a 6 or at most an 8 inch fan - you just need to keep the air moving a bit and mostly at night when the temp drops. Partially covering the tanks might help a bit as well. |
