Post subject:  G'day from Bingara NSW

I just happened to stumble onto this forum ,and gosh there's a forum for just about every thing now a day's  And heaps of interesting reading here . I'm very keen on a reticulating tank system for producing / or growing out :?: either yabbys ,redclaw ,or silver perch :?: Something on a small commercial scale :?: Supplying the local pubs / resturants !!! Some thing that would give me some sort of wage/ income ,in years to come  I studied all I could at red claw in SE QLD some years ago ,going to farm visits run by DPI fisheries etc , but alas a lack of serious start up capital $$$$$ lots of ,I had to shelve that idea  So even thou i've been of out of touch with Aquaculture for a good while ,I did realize years ago there where plenty of pit falls / traps / heart aches that can be attached to Aquaculture .
So I was wondering if there was any body up this way ,Nth Tablelands that was into Aquaponics /Aquaculture :dontknow: I am aware of Narrabri Fish Farm ,only a hour away from me ,whom I plan on visiting .

Welcome to the forum Hugh, I'm about 35km from Tamworth, so a couple of hours drive south from you.

Supplying fish to pubs etc means a whole lot of fees to the Ag dept, local council, Food Authority etc, making it not worthwhile at small scale.
