Hello

we are Peas Unlimited, an organization that wants to promote urban farming among other things to push the transition to a more sustainable and fair society. We are based in Malta in the middle of the Mediterranean sea

we are currently running a media system in our rooftop greenhouse and we are going to setup an indoor floating raft system.

the climate here is very challenging in the summer. We now have been busy for a year and our learning curve is picking up momentum.

really looking forward to becoming part of this online community and share info.

for those interested, have a look at our website: www.peasunlimited.org

any questions, please let me know!

Hi Peas Unlimited.

I am designing a hobby system in Malta and would very much appreciate some guidance.

The system I am designing will be outdoors. I would very much appreciate your views on what fish can be grown outdoors in Malta, all year round. I am thinking of stocking mosquito fish, but would very much like to understand if there are edible fish that I may grow instead.

Kind regards,
Mike

Hey Mike.. The best fish for you to have is whatever fingerling are available locally. Try and do a bit of a search for fresh water aquaculture in your local area and see what people are growing. If people are growing a fish commercially, then generally they will be reasonably suited to your local conditions and be available..

Hi Peas

I am not sure why you think your summer is difficult, it looks really pleasant to me.
