Hi new here I built a 23 foot by 10 foot greenhouse last year that I am starting an ap build in at the moment it will be ibc fish tank outside the greenhouse 2x 300litre grow beds and a 300 litre dwc just because I will have a chopped ibc left over oh and a sump tank probably 600 litre. It will be a split flow system and I hope to keep rainbow trout in it! Well that's the plan so I'm hoping all goes well I just need to decide on my cycle method! Anyone else here and active from Ireland? Anyway great site with top info! |

Hi Ngavin2001, welcome to the forum . Start a system thread and post some pics so we can see the action. Are you hoping to eventually fill the greenhouse with the AP setup?

Yes I'll start a build thread! I'm not sure if all goes well I'll add on I'll probably keep some room for other stuff too! |

Consider adding in some wicking beds with soil, they make a good complement to an AP setup. |

Hi there, I'm based in Wicklow, AQ system is 3 years old, 1500litre tank stocked with reasonable sized koi and 5 1/3rd IBC grow beds stuffed with Chili peppers and a bed of wasabi plus all the regular growing stuff. I can't say it's economic we don't have a water shortage!... But it's more fun than regular gardening. The whole set top is in a green house with a couple of hundred watts of dumped windpower heat so that the ave temp keeps about 14-18 celcius, started as a lesson and continued as a passion, only ever seen one other system so you're more than welcome to input this one. Regards Dougie |
