Hello everybody,
My wife and I have recently finished building a aquaponics system in a 24 x 48 greenhouse. Our system consists of 1 450 gal fish tank, 4 3x8 media beds, 2 3x16 float beds, 2 3x8 sump tanks, and 1 1540 gal sump tank.
My question to all of you is this: Can we mix fish species to minimize the heating requirements of the greenhouse. Specifically I was thinking about using koi for year around growth and stability, and something like either trout for the cooler months of tilapia for the warmer months. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Why do I not have access to the "general" area?
