Hi Guys, my name is Elaine and I have started an aquaponics system that has been flushing now for some 3 weeks. The system comprises 4 growbeds filled with gravel, 1000 liter fish tank, 250 liter fish tank, and sump. TDS is currently measuring 440ppm and ph hovers around 8. I added 250ml Seasol to the system about a week ago and thereafter TDS increased by 40ppm. I expect to introduce fish to the system within a fortnight. Can Nitrosol be added to the system at this stage without detrimental effects on the fish?

Welcome to the forum Elaine

Which of the Seasol products did you add? Are you testing for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates so you'll know when the system is cycled?

Looks like Nitrosol is Blood and Bone so yes is the answer but I'll add that there may be some issues to consider depending on where you are. These ingredients are often included in fish feed.

Cheers
