Hi everyone ! We (my family and I) are on a steep learning curve here in Sydney, having put our first aquaponics system in about 8 months ago. A 1200L tank which we have sunk into the ground and two large grow beds next to it. Despite a leak in the early months and a few other minor challenges, it has been smooth sailing and we finally got fish last weekend! 19 silver perch. And I am pleased to report the fish still live, despite a major mishap with the air filter and water filter (both stopped in torrential rain this week). We might jump on here for advice on all sorts of things as we muddle along and perhaps one day I might be able to help someone else! Really enjoying stretching my knowledge as we embark on this! Cheers! |

Hi and welcome suburbanfishfood, sounds like you are doing well so far. How are the silver perch going ? Mine have gotten a bit excited with the high temps of the last few day's and are actually breaking the surface in the rush for food. Love to see a few pics of your system, cheers. |
