Hi folks! I'm just getting started with aquaponics, and am going to be building out an IBC system based on the great examples from the IBC pdf on this site. Anyone on this board from NC? I'd love some recommendations regarding which fish work best, and whether or not I'll need a permit for them. Also, I have read a lot about PVC piping and how it can be leach vinyl chloride when heated. Is that something I have to worry about with an aquaponics system? If I do use PVC piping, should I avoid using the PVC glue? Thanks! |
