Hello everyone! I have been working on an Aquaponics systems for the better part of a year. It stated when I didn't want to buy any more fish filters for my kids fish tank. I have really been enjoying it. I like the fact that it is a "natural" system and creates no waste. I have been reading pamphlets, and info online and but I am still learning. Just recently I added timers and it seems like I have finally gotten some balance. also here is a picture of my system. My wife and I are about to move to a bigger house and my goal is to set up an even bigger system. I know this particular tank could support a much bigger grow bed. The picture below is showing second planting. When I installed the timers I pulled up all the old plants from the grow bed (root rot pretty much destroyed them) and planted new seeds. I pulled a Jalapeno plant from my outdoor garden to filter the water until the seeds grow. My dream is to have 2 systems, one with the kids pet fish supporting an herb garden and a second as a primary food source with tilapia and a substantial vegetable garden. Looking forward to participating on this Forum! Joe
