Post subject:  How to start learning on tilapia raising

Hello guys,

Greetings from France

I learnt 5 years ago how to grow spirulina un my kitchen. 2 years later, I was producing spirulina at a nice rate of 3 kgs per day on two 200sqm pools. I had to move for my job to another place as I am a sales guy for an oyster hatchery.

Now I would like to learn raising tilapias in my flat, so basically space is limited. Goal is to gather enough knowledge within 2 years before starting a tilapia production (Mexico)

So the game would be to :
- purchase safely fingerlings (Tilapia Nilotica) from Europe
- learn to separate males from females when visibly possible
- grow until 8 months old, and eat it...

Once I have this working, I can start a larger scale production

I do not need to have many fingerlings, all I want is to train on the growing cycle and check for any disease / solutions

How many and how large an aquarium do you think I need for :
1- raising a few fingerlings up to 3 months
2- separate females from males to avoid fights
3- raise those tilapias from 3 months to 8 months

Thank you very much
