Hi I am new to this forum & this is my first post. We are building a new home & want to incorporate a highly productive garden which will include an aquaponics system. If there's a consultant in the Newcastle area who can help us get started we'd love to use your services. Thanks Amanda |

.. Welcome and sincere good luck with the project.. I would suggest that seeing is believing and understanding.. YOU know your yard and what you want.. so do you want a highly ornamental "Pond" system or a proper Aquaponics System Check out threads under member systems and you may get some ideas.. There is just so much material available, but I think that you need to INPUT what you aspire to to start with.. Were I starting again, with an empty yard, then I would go for ornamental fish like KOI, and make that a closed system, where all the solids were collected and these were (ultimately) used in a hydroponic/wicking crop system.. IMHOand PS - http://aquaponics.net.au/master-classes.html you can PAY and do a formal course like this one and get a good grounding in AP and then understand WHY things may be better done another way.. .. . |
