Post subject:  Starting my AP Proyect

Hi guys,
Well I´m starting now to built my AP system, and I´m so excited. Not pretty much to say, just thanks to this forum and all their members, cause without it I´m sure that Ihave never started this. I also want to apologise if I say something wrong, cause i have to improve my english. Correct me or ask me if you don´t understand something, please.
The last day i started to writte this, but a problem with my PC maked me lost what i wrote :upset: . So i will sump up it.
Basically I start looking for a solution to easy and controlable growing of lettuce and other veggies, like cucumber and peppers. I find some ways to do it, but that what i was going to made was hidroponics. After searching more information about it a found aquaponics like 2-3 months ago, and now I have almost everything to start it. That and a lot of work to do.

I also have some desing for my Ap system, but I cant upload the files to show you how, so if you could help me any help is welcome. That it what appear when I tried to upload:
"The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 900 pixels wide and 900 pixels high. The submitted image is 9924 pixels wide and 7056 pixels high." Any Idea to solve it? I tried even with photoshop.

Well once I will show you how I tell you more about it.

If you open pictures in paint, the free program that comes with windows, there is a menu option to resize, click that and select what percentage you need to reduce it down so it will upload, I did mine at 45%, then save it as a separate file and upload it using the post reply button, welcome to the forum!

Fine, I think id done.
Well first i must comment that i live in a "continental" wheather, which basically means hard temperatures ( very cold winters and very warm summer) so I´m going to build a greenhouse to secure that I had enought temperature, and if I see that it is to much sun during this sumer maybe i willl use a shadecloth. That was the easiest problem to solve, then I should see what fish could I use, because rainbow trout (an option for the very cold winters) I don´t know if resist in summer, and also Tilapia happens that can´t be grown here in winter without heat the water (I hadn´t money enought to mantain this). I also want that it was the cheaper as posible, so I search for recicled material like the IBC, and maybe a few recicled raingutter and some PVC that i have to buy.
Well the schema is quite simply. I had and space of 6x6 meters (sorry about the metric units, but its hard to use imperial) tha maybe i could expand to that: "A" to 7 or 8 meters, and "L" up to 10. I think that it is a good start.
Is on sacle, so it was the better way to have it clear. I let space for access to all the system.

The next shows how the NFT channels are located.

Well I´m going to bury the Fish tanks, and made a support for the gutters (to hip height), that also allows me to access to the tank ( maybe above the thanks it can be mobile), so I think that I have the space neccessary to work.
Well, the first issues that I have to solve are those:

1. Ratio fish- plants; with the NFC is a ratio of 20 plants/square meter, and in what I plan makes 20.25 square meters= 405 plants. And fish that I can stoke is aproximately 50 per tank, so: 405 plants/ 250 fish is a good rate? I can also put some more plant or fish.

2. Filtration Media; I really don´t know what to do; but I know where i put it. I was thinking to made it with half an IBC with expanden clay full of red worms. I want the maxim recycling of the matter and that is a good way to break solid waste of the fish.

3. Hardware stuff (pumps and other); I want use the less as posible and also any idea of how to do it. I want to have al the tank fish conected but the fish in each tank separated, But how I remove all the waste to secure that there not will be amonia problems (it includes fish undetected death)

I Know that its to much to read, so excuse me. I spect that you could help me. Any information or links ar welcome.
