Hi everyone,
I am from Waikiki, Perth, Western Aus
My dad and myself started Hydroponics a few Years ago with great success!
Only problem was the cost of nutrient and how quickly we went through it, and the common water changes. So aquaponics seems the go. So I have most of the stuff to set up a medium sized aquaponics system. My aim is to set up 1 grow bed and the 4 small pots we have and in the near future add a few PVC pipe grow tubes.

The one thing I need now to set up the system is a fish tank, so if any one has a round 1000l fish Tank for sale in perth I am interested.

Also a few questions:
I have a 12W pump and was thinking of using this for a circulation pump and using the 90W pump to flood and drain the grow bed, pots and tubes, will this be ok?

Or could I have the 12W pump on constantly and have the water fall into the tank, will this provide enough O2 for the fish?

I have looked at IBCs one would suit perfectly, but I have a few conditions as it's going in mum's backyard, and she's not a fan of the IBCs

do you want a tall 1000L tank or a wide one?

is the 12V a bilge pump or a brushless? Ifs it a bilge I would not bother - they are not rated for continuous duty.

Water circulation and return should provide enough O2 for the fish depending on the stocking density, water turn over and height it falls in from. I have one system with no aeration and that has been running fine for years.

I'm after a wide 1000l tank Matt.
The pump is 12W, 230V, probably should have said that, it was bound to cause a mixup
I also found another pump 21W 1050l/hr, score!! so the water from that will also be feeding back into the tank so I should be fine, Thanks for that info Matt, saves a few $ in terms of an air pump.
I have packed the hydroponics set into the trailer ready for the move tomorrow and setup on the weekend.
