Hello all. I've been browsing this site for info for a while now, so I decided it was time to register. I've been slowly working on creating a basement system using an IBC tote. The eventual goal is to have both indoor and outdoor systems to grow year round in my Canadian climate. I have a question to start with, and if I should post it in another section, please let me know. I wanted to add a sump tank using a 55 gal barrel. However the barrel I have right now I'm unsure of the suitability. It is a green barrel used to hold Bio circle; A de-greaser using bacteria and water to eat away at grease. I'm from Ontario as well. I have a system in a greenhouse this is my second year. I had one fish in my tank by winter and it survived.
