Hello everyone!

My name is Alex, I live in Austria and I had aquariums since 17 years of my life, in which I held and bred various kinds of fish, as well as various kinds of shrimps.

For work related reasons I sold off all of my aquariums with an aching heart but now I am back in Austria and immediately I had to get a new aquarium. Seems I have a slight addiction problem with water and fish... But this time I thought I would like to up it a knotch and decided to upgrade my aquarium with an NFT aquaponics system! I couldn't be happier with growing my own vegetables and herbs and still seeing my fish swimming around at the same time.
Of course now I am completely diving into the entire topic of how to grow your own food at home with an aquarium and I am very happy to have stumbled across this forum.

I just want to say hi to everyone and I hope I will be able to go on your nerves a little bit with some questions, just as I hope that I can help anyone with any question that I am able to answer!
