Greetings, all! I live in Eunice, LA and I've been fascinated by the concept of aquaponics since I first read of it. I currently have 3 55 gallon plastic barrels, 1 25 gallon plastic barrel (both sets of barrels were originally used for edible contents), some 1 1/4 PVC pipe, a few 5 gallon buckets, and 6.7 thousand questions that I've been trying to answer by reading through the forums and looking through various websites. I will do my best to post them in the proper areas on the forum.
As of right now the materials are sitting in my yard awaiting deployment. I'm thinking I'll initially go with a basic CHIST PIST system using 1 barrel as the FT, another (split in half lengthwise) as the GB (initially going with the media filled bed system), and the 25 gallon barrel as the ST if I can't get a workable siphon going from the FT to the GB (no pump yet, and the lower the total cost, the better).
