:wave1: hello everyone,
You can call me tony,
I am new to the backyard aquaponics, I hope I can be of some help to others on their systems, and meet some locals too.
I located in Auburn twp ohio
I currently have 2 systems set up, small 55ish gal house unit with a swirlfilter, clay media bed,bell syphon, floating lettuce bed, 6 African cichlids and a catfish (currently trying to figure out issues on this guy look at my other post please)

the other is a 230gal unit made from a IBC container, it has a water heater and a media bed with bell syphon, started this system in October with 40 yellow perch, had a few algae issues I'm prob down to 15 or so. pulled out old cloned tomatoes a month or so ago, since they had a white fly infestation.. I'll be planting soon ..
I'll upload pics of IBC tomorrow. ..

welcome from another buckeye Tony!
my system is indoors as well, but i may be rebuilding my main tank before stocking this year.. right now i just have marmokrebs (craysfish) and rosy red minnows

I had crayfish in my unit but they were crawling out like crazy or they get stuck in drain tube and cause tank to overflow and I wake up to water coming into my room in the basement .. lol I thin the catfish ate whoever dared through tube and make it lol I started with about 27 of them ... if I do them again I'm keeping them with the fish. But need a better hiding spot like bread crates...

Yay! Another Ohioan. I'm in Ashland, Ohio... maybe 1 hour +/- from Auburn County.
I'm new to Aquaponics too.
