Hi guys I have been into Aquaponics for a little over 2yrs. I was intimidated by building my own system and spent a year thinking. Finally a good forums of mine said "Stop thinking just do!". So a small 30gal set up was made outside on my patio and also another inside with a LED reef light I had left over.
I haven't spent much time cruising the forums but when I have had a problem in this last year of Aquaponics it was solved by either the forum here or by a link to something from the forum. So I wanted to thank you guys so much for all the help! THANKS!! With that said here is my new set up I've been working on.... It has been running for 120 days with no issues keeping a close eye on the levels and all is good. Plants are 60 days in all from seed.
I'm still new to growing plants and Aquaponics.... Admittedly I'm a little lazy too I let my outside system run for months without checking water just feeding fish and harvesting plants. The system has never had an issue other than getting too cold for the fish in winter. (luck?) I loved growing my own tomatoes and peppers and having some nice home made salsa!! I'm looking to be more active and expand my knowledge on the subject. I'm officially hooked on Aquaponics! Thanks guys!
