Planted a border of nasturtiums around my garden beds recently and made some interesting observations; the nasturtiums became heavily infested with aphids and caterpillars, while the rest of my plants remained mostly pest-free. Seems they prefer nasturtiums to many other leafy greens.

But the best discovery was that my silver perch also love to eat nasturtiums. So now I just cut a big bunch and throw it in the tank and the fish eat all the leaves as well as the aphids and caterpillars. You can also add nasturtium leaves and flowers to salads for your own consumption.
