Hi! I just set up my AP system!
Been perusing this site and gathering ideas and plans for my build.
My initial intention is to grow tilapia but since the communist state of CA prohibits it and i couldnt afford the fines, especially with 2 kids.. i'm thinking about going with koi.

doing a test run, bell syphons work perfect.

the middle syphon is much slower, so i'm going to make the holes on the bottom of the syphon larger and the level is a tad too high, as there are a few small holes in the ibc that allow water to run out. I'll take it down about 2"

If it makes you feel better, tilapia is definitely not an option for Australians either - here they're classed as a noxious species and to even keep them alive or throw them back if you catch them wild is an offence.

Finally had some time to get some more work on my system.
Followed the advice and did an overflow system.
Also added pea pebbles to my GB... of course now my water is totally muddy.
i ended up pumping the water into my yard, most of it at least, and i'll fill up again, it'll still be murky, but i'm hoping the dirt will settle.

dont have any idea how to resize them, had a hard enough time linking them from my drop box account.

If you're taking them from your phone, and uploading them with. There are apps that'll do it, just search in the app store, or the play store.

I feel like I need to stand back to look at them.

Hey BadDad, if you're using an iphone--I've been pretty happy with PicEditPro, a whopping $0.99 on the app store.

Tapatalk is what I use and it is free. I find it is much easier to use than trying to resize pictures. Plus my photos are all taken from the phone. Too easy.

OP, check and see if you can have bullhead catfish in the commie state of Kalifornia. I used them last year and will do the same this year. They are very hardy and seemed to adapt well.
