Hello everyone. I'm in Lobethal South Australia (Adelaide hills). I have just built a IBC system. I have used a 5X5m shed frame with white shade cloth. I think 20% off the top of my head. Just to take the edge of the sun off. I don't know about you but I think the sun has a bigger bite each year. I have photos of me no more than 12 months old on the beach in speedo's in the middle of summer. I couldn't imagine letting a child of that age in the sun nowadays. Anyway I have built a scrappy system to do experiments on as I want to incorporate mushroom growing into the system. I grow mushrooms myself and run workshops and I have realised that the CHOP 2 aquaponics can provide the perfect environment for mushrooms. Currently I have 1 Ibc as a fish tank. I have cut my 2 gravel beds the same as Rob Bob and have a sump tank that about 400L. I have another 500L tank for expansion or quarantine. My pump is a AP3000 which is a 3000l pond pump from bunnings |
