Hey, I'm a noob from Sydney. Just started this aquaponics thing. I have a water dragon set up goin on, he has his own fish tank. Two red jewels in there as well, all in my wardrobe. It needed water changing every 2 weeks and I have a preference for organic food so, put two and two together and... Yeah, two weeks in and things seem to be going ok. On the plant growth side, anyway. I will admit, it's extremely dodgy, I think I've had it leak everywhere about 3 times but y'know, beta testing phase, I guess. The overflow is alllll wrong! =S Just have a pump from his tank (which is on the floor) to a tub with the plants on my desk, next to the window. I didn't plan it too well, crash course type thing.. I just turn the pump on for 5 minutes every day, then turn it off and turn the tap fitting I have on the plant tub, so it doesn't all run back into the fish tank. Planning on something larger scale and more thought out in the next few weeks, in the back yard. And that's my story. Hi all. |
