Attachment: best AP ever.png [ 79.45 KiB | Viewed 3253 times ] This is my proposed new system, it is a new thinking that I thought off all on my own. Fish tank will be a 1000lt "with water", "reverse radial cross flow", with a KWIK, which is like a SLO only faster and obviously much more better. these are all new thinking ideas that I thought off water will then gravity flow though the KWIK into the RFF ( Radial Filleting Filter) that I thought off, then into the RRFF ( Reverse Radial Filleting Filter). this will effectively slice the sides of the solids, then put them back onto the other side. Next step is the IPSF (Inverse Paint Swirls Filter) which will remove any Inverse Paint swirls that could clog up the grow beds. next comes the Biodynamic Re-Gester that I copied of a plan I found on you-tube. this is a totally new revolution in Re-gesting. I'm not 100% sure yet what it does but it was on you-tube so I think it must be essential. by this stage every trace of solids and or nutrients and or inverse paint swirls should be removed from the system. next step is the Organic solids injector, this is also a new idea that I thought off while I was thinking about things that I could think off. it works by being a spot inthe system where you can inject fertiliser and nutrients and is also where I dump the wastes out off the RFF, RRFF, IPSF and the Biodynamic Re-gester that I either thought off or found on you-tube. the OSI feeds into GB 1 and GB 2. the GB's or "grow beds" as they are sometimes called will be made of large and medium sized 10 lt buckets that will each hold 10 lts of "Grow Bed" medium. that will probably be brown or possibly another colour instead. the "grow beds" will flow into the sump which will hold all the pumps. Basic layout is: FT-RFF-RRFF-IPSF-BR-OSI-GB1-GB2-ST-P1-P2-P4-FT. I'm thinking of running 926 1/2 trouts in the FT (Fish Tank) and kale in the GB's (grow beds) which I will ween the trout onto as I'm a vegan and I think it would be healthier for the fish also. would love to get some feed back and also any ideas on how i could make it better as long as you agree with me anyway. Thanks for looking. Best.System.Eva |

.. 1000Ltr Ft... I don't know much, but I do think you have over-thought the whole show.. 1000Ltr and three pumps.. Surely you could design a simple system with one pump and gravity...IMHO.. Quote: ......but it was on you-tube so I think it must be essential...... Forgive me, but now I have heard it all..! .. . |

Yes you may be right but I am still worried that time will catch up to me BuiDoi wrote: .. 1000Ltr Ft... .. . Yes I know I wanted to use a smaller tank, because that would meen less solids, but I didn't think I could grow all the trouts to 3kg each in a smaller tank? 926 1/2 trout = 926.5 lt with a small fudge factor for evaporations from the OSI. |

I think you need several more paint filters and at LEAST one more pump. Also, surely a reverse osmosis filter (powered by biogas) should be incorporated before the GBs.

Quote: I'm thinking of running 926 1/2 trouts so that is 463 whole trout... they really dont like living in halves... 463 trout at 3kG... and you wanted a smaller tank to reduce the solid wastes... .. . Sorry... ! .. . |

Mate its brilliant, I've got a lot of paint in my system and thanks to your brilliant, original triple paint filters idea I can now get rid of it ! thanks |

Maybe it needs a flux capacitor on a timed loop? that way every day could be April 1st. |

+1 for more pumps! The way I see it... if you add more pumps, the result will be greater H2O (that's water) velocity. Greater H2O velocity means the fish will have to swim faster/harder which should result in greater muscle mass which means larger fillets which in turn will demand a premium price beyond anything ever thought imaginable or thought of. I think you're on to something here which could change or even revolutionize AP as we know it!

A 30Mtr raft bed...30cm deep ... packed with produce, on secured rafts... Powered by a bank of five spa pumps , recreating a mountain stream, and fish swimming against the current.. At the downstream end , an endless belt of AgriFab material, continually removing solids including fish that fail to keep up with the flow.. only the fittest will survive.. .. . |
