So I've bin doin a lot of reading/research, which seems endless, and this is what I came up with. I'm a DIY kinda guy so I made the bed from a concrete mixing tub and filled it with volcano rock "rinsed thoroughly" and planted assorted herbs from my garden beds, 28g galvanized bin with three 2in goldfish, and Argentine sward aqua plant my wife planted in the bin. Any pointers would be appreciated, Q: how many fish per gallons? can I run a timer in increments or does the water have to run 24 hours, i'm sure I could find more but if I don't stop it'll turn into a story.

Yes welcome to the forum salty, plenty of how many fish threads to look through. Nice little system may want to rethink your galv fish tank if it's not lined thought. |

That grow bed would also benefit from being filled up with more media! There should be a layer of dry about an inch or two thick, and more depth will benefit the root systems |

I'll be purchasing expanded clay and a pond tub asap, already wanting to expand, taking my 185gph pump to the max. |
