Hello Everyone :)

My Name is Jace, I'm a government slave & IT professional currently but looking to change that.

My family and friends long term goal is to get off the grid completely. Love to be entirely self sufficient one day, And for me, Aquaponics is the direction i'd like to take to get started :)

I love growing plants and i love fish! so this is going to be great! I've spent the last few weeks doing a lot of reading and i have to say i'm pretty excited to get into it!

In a few years time i'd like to have a system i can use to help feed my household and even maybe sell some of the fish also. :)

I'll very likely ask some dumb questions.. so be prepared :P

Looking forward to talking with you all.

Have an awesome day.

Jace. :wave1:

Welcome Jace, IMO there is no such thing as a dumb question.

Thanks ! :) what species would you guys recommend for Brisbane climate? Jade Perch are looking like the best way to go! Though the idea of barra in my back yard is pretty appealing :P

Jades, sleepy cod, barra and tandanus are good options

Thank you all for the advise :)

Is there anyone from around Brisbane who would like to show off their setup? i'd like to see a few in person before building mine :)

I'm moving to Brisbane in 3 weeks.

Send me a PM if you wouldn't mind me seeing your setups :D

Many thanks!

Jace.

Hi Jace!

There's a few from Brisbane, and a fair few from SEQ, hopefully someone pipes up!

I'm about 20 min from Ipswich if you are ever in the Scenic Rim area!
