Hi lucylu, I am just down the road a bit, (a WA joke people!) A half hour drive, if you get all the lights on green? Let me no if you need anything, especially parts and where to get them? It took me a while to find the right shops after days of searching, every hardware, aquaponics and pond shop from Gosnells to Vic park! But I saved thousands by not listening to any off them? |

Awesome thanks Blizzard. Yes, there is a great hyrdoponics guy down the road from me in freo, but a visit to a shop in your neck of the woods was a bit of a worry! I need a bag of expanded clay - where would you recommend? |

The guy on Warton rd sells them 10 bags for $33 each,50ltr bags, but if you only need the one bag, then go to backyard aquaponics near the spud shed, the cost is up there, but you save on fuel, the guy on Warton rd doesn’t have half the stuff he should have? They are more into hydroponics, I have visited every shop around I could find , but dumb looks is all I took away, except at backyard? Very friendly service, I don’t know how much they are paying the young woman there, but she should be paid more! I have been there twice and I could not fault her in any way! She was the most friendly and open person I have ever met, on both occasions, she even showed me Fans old IBC system, RIP. The one from the original video, But if your in the area feel free to pop on over, to see my setup for ideas, if you want, |

Welcome Lucy, I'm just over the Stock road in Cooby so if you need a hand I am actually just down the road. Have you put your system plan together yet? You can always put a thread up in members system's at planning stage to bounce any design ideas off a few people. |

Hi Lucylu, Welcome to the forum! Re: expanded clay, I have seen it as cheap as $27 per bag on various Gumtree ads, however its worth checking the quality if you're able to, as certain brands are not pH neutral, and others have a tendency to float. There was a discussion on this a little while ago, I will see if I can find which brands got yayed or nayed for you |
