Howdy all, awesome website. I've been reading up on aquaponics for about a year now, planning my system. Been gardening for a few years, veggies, fruits, and tropical flowers. Grew up in a rural area, we grew most of our food. I heard about hydroponics years ago, when I read about AP the lightbulb just went off... "Brilliant!" Plans are for a greenhouse, most likely 20x24 feet, to house the operation. Right now leaning heavily towards IBC's, with a single larger tank for crustaceans... red claws or freshwater prawns. Between this and our chickens, rabbits, and maybe a goat or two in the future, I'd like to be mostly self-sufficient in the grocery department in the coming few years. Any rate, cheers fellas, looking forward to learning lots from you pros! -Richard |

Definitely will have pics when the time comes, but may be a while... the Supreme Leader has dictated that I build her a front porch on the house before I'm allowed to have my greenhouse, so I have a bit of planning time on my hands. May well be acquiring materials and supplies between now and then, though...... |
