Welcome to the forum! Nice looking fishtank! Go ahead with your questions. The major problem I see with most aquarium builds is the lack of light for the plants on the top, they are usually inside, and the people don't understand why the plants are getting all leggy and dying off. |

Hi justintime welcome to the forum. I note that you have African cichlids in your tank. Typical pH required for them is 7.5 to 9. From which lake are they?. The pH requirements will not be ideal for plant growth. It can be done but you probably will struggle to get exceptional growth. It will still assist to reduce your nitrates. You may want to consider plants with low iron/higher pH requirements. Good luck and please keep the pictures comming |
