Hello, I am here to learn about aquaponics. I would like to start with a small system at home to begin the learning process, then perhaps expand on that with a bigger system at home as well. Have only done some reading online. Funny part is, neither my wife nor I eat fish! That's ok, there are enough relatives and friends that do. For now, we only want fresh vegetables year round. Perhaps I will "try some fish" and see what happens. Been years since I had soe. Maybe my tastes have changed. I look forward to learning alot here!

artsamm,

Welcome to the forum.

There are many system ideas to be gleaned from members system section of the forum.
From memory, a couple of brief overview threads small, medium and large, as well.

There is also an EBook you can get to in the top right hand corner of this page called "The IBCs of Aquaponics", it's quite excellent.

You don't like fish! That's ok, you'll love the veggies.

Welcome to the forum.

There are no rules that say you need to grow edible fish. There are plenty of ornamental fish that you can grow out, and potentially sell off for more money :)

I'm growing koi and goldfish. Love them. No need to worry about temperatures and they poop a lot.
