Hello all,
I'm from Washington. Born in Puyallup, moved to Auburn and Tacoma a few times, joined the military, got excited about aquaponics, left the military and now live a few miles east of Bellingham in Deming, WA.

Anyways, I have yet to build an aquaponics system but i have been quite interested in it for a few years now. No point in building in military housing. Now that I got out (in nov) and am mostly settled in my new place, I got my greenhouse built almost completely. 22'x8' roughly. I want to implement an aquaponics system in there. I read that talapia arent great in wa, the greenhouse wont be heated in the winter, and im not completely sure I even want to have a system in the winter.

Im sure i will have a lot of questions later when i get closer to design/building.

Hi Zab.

We're down in Snohomish, east of Marrysville. Welcome to the forum.

One nice thing about Bellingham is that you have some relatively inexpensive IBC's and barrels not to far away.
We're currently running trout in our greenhouse system, and plan to run our system through the winter.

Semper Fi.
