Hey Everyone,

My name is Stan and I am currently enrolled in an Environmental Tech and Sustainable Practices course at a local community college. This Summer I am interning at a small farm and designing and hopefully building a small entry level AP system. I will be building it in their hothouse on site.

I'm currently reading Aquaponic Gardening by Bernstein but don't have any experience, so I'm a little nervous. I was told by a friend to check out your site because it is very informative. I am just starting to poke around and look into some areas of interest.

I will likely be posting questions and looking for assistance as the project progresses, but I am pretty good at looking things up before asking - so I hope not to be a bother to anyone. I do look forward to getting to know you and share knowledge and experiences.

Stan W.

Thanks, good to know. That's a very thorough video on their site.

Does anyone else on this site grow in a hoop house? Any advice or things I should be mindful of going into this?

Do you have any issues with temperatures swings in the hoop house?

It works like any other type of greenhouse. It stays warm in the winter and needs to be vented in the summer.

Real newb question... How do you vent a hoop house? Do you just roll up the sides, or do you have a themostat and fans?
