Hello All! The time has come to put up my first post with an introduction.

Am a Canadian living in Northern Thailand have a 23,000L Koi pond attached to the front of my house at present there are eight Koi of about 35cm in length. With the light load a filter was not required but want to get more Koi so started building a filter system then found this site, it changed my thinking about how to make good use of all the nutrients produced that would be wasted with a mechanical/biological filter.

Our soil is like rock when dry mud when wet making regular gardening difficult so aquaponics seems to be the perfect fit.

Have been reading posts daily since joining this form and feel this is doable with all the help available here. Have much to learn with lots of other things on the go so this will be a very slow project.
The vortex (Swirl Filter) is 1m x 1.20m

Thank you for the welcomes. :)

As said this will be a slow project but will begin a new thread once I start the project.

First much to learn.
