Hi all!
Been a while now! I thought I would We have Talapia fry! Only about a 500. PH is still high at 8.3 so I was SURPRISED! LOL And then a strange Fingerling was in my first grow bed? All dried up and about 1/2 in in length. Very strange since we think this is our first set of babies. But we could be just seeing them for the first time and it be our second? Possible I suppose. I was not ready for these! I have a 10 gallon tank set up but it was not running. But I put about 10 fry in there just to see how they do. I do not expect the others to live very long. Not with those enormous moms and pops below. I'm so ready for a FISH FRY! HA!

Anyway - :headbang: We got our first Lettuce Salad! Enough for 3. Just a nice Nevada Dark Leaf Salad! Yum. Nitrites are up! So all my veggies are really getting in gear. Green and growing. I transplanted the strawberry plans this morning from their dirt directly into the grow medium.
We still have no Nitrates? And the green crap is almost gone. Getting a couple of Plecostemous for the fish tank and pump tank. Still want to have some crayfish in the wet bed. But man they are expensive! Im cash poor but thats good cause I do not want to introduce any until I know they cant escape.
Thanks for the help! :notworthy:
I introduced my cousin to this site. Dillon. He is starting a new pond set up in Las Vegas. I am sure he is looking for great advise from this group.

[size=150]Okay, after further investigation, we realized we missed the first set of Talapia babies! We have 3/4 inch almost Fingerlings babies on the bottom with the big fish hiding. :) DOH! The bigger mom and pops are eating them and thinning down the fry. I have captured about 45+ fry and have them in the 10 gallon tank. They look happy! And are quickly getting trained to come see me! Darling little fry Yum! I'm dreaming of all the ways I am going to cook them! Fish Tacos are gonna be awesome!
Oh and we are pretty sure the other mommy have babies in their mouths. haha. Fry for sale! :shifty:
