I've been interested in aquaponics for a few years now and once I graduate this June ( ) I'll begin designing a small scale commercial set up in my neighborhood. I hope to learn a lot from reading the forums and maybe I can share some knowledge too :)

Welcome Leah! Careful with the C word. Commercial AP is a touchy subject. The people who are successful have spent a lot of time refining their systems, and as such are redisent to divulge their trade secrets. The only real advice you will get on the subject is 1. Don't. 2. If you do, at least build a small non commercial system to get the feel for what it is all about before wasting your or your investors' money.
That being said, we all love seeing CSA AP systems work!

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I plan on making an IBC or barrel backyard system this summer to test a few things out and make sure it agrees with me. I'm in no rush so will definitely think things through before transitioning to a larger system.
